DEMOLITION SUPERVISOR
12 WEEK DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE
About the Course
The Demolition Supervisor Distance Learning course has been developed and introduced by the National Demolition Training Group (NDTG), in conjunction with the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC), and Construction Skills, as a means by which existing holders of a Topman Certificate of Competence of Demolition Operative can obtain a Demolition Supervisor Certificate of Competence.
The Demolition Supervisor category fills a training gap recognised by and promoted by the NFDC, NDTG and Construction Skills, and is intended for those people in site supervisory capacity on demolition projects.
Course Participants
- Any Demolition Operative Topman who is at present working in the industry in a supervisory capacity.
- Any Demolition Operative Topman who aspires to advance his or her position within the supervision of demolition projects.

Asbestos Training Courses
Refresher Training must be done annually for all relevant asbestos categories
Asbestos Operative (New Entrant) (3 days)
This course is for operatives who are new to the asbestos industry and have had no formal training, the course combines classroom based theory and hands on practical training.
Asbestos Operative (Refresher) (1 day)
This course is for asbestos operatives who have previously had asbestos operative training and require their annual refresher. Proof of previous training is required.
Asbestos Supervisor (New Entrant) (3 days)
This course is for newly appointed Asbestos Supervisors who have experience of asbestos removal and will be responsible for managing Asbestos Operatives on site and enforcing safety standards.
Asbestos Supervisor (Refresher) (1 day)
This course is for asbestos supervisors who have previously had asbestos supervisor training and require their annual refresher. Proof of previous training is required.
Asbestos Manager/Director (New Entrant) (2 days)
This course is for newly appointed Asbestos Manager/Director who will be responsible for managing Asbestos work as per Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006
Asbestos Manager/Director (Refresher) (1 days)
This course is for asbestos manager/directors requiring annual refresher training
Asbestos Non-Licensable Training (1 day)
This course is for persons requiring training in the safe removal of Non Licensable Asbestos Materials. The course combines classroom based theory and hands on practical training.
Asbestos Awareness Course (1/2 day)
This course is for anyone likely to come in to contact with asbestos containing materials during their normal work. Upon completion of the course candidates will be able to recognise asbestos containing materials and be aware of the procedures to follow upon discovery.
Asbestos License Application & Interview Preparation
Circa’s consultant, a former HSE Asbestos Licensing Principal Inspector, will help in completing HSE’s Licence Application form and in preparation for the interview with HSE for a new licence renewal. Circa’s consultant will, if you wish, sit in at the interview.
Construction Design & Management Regulations 2007
These come in to force in April 2007. This ½ day course acts as a refresher to the CDM Regulations and focuses particularly on the changes to them. It is given by a former HSE Principal Construction Inspector and is aimed at clients, designers, project co-ordinators and principal and other contractors.
